Privacy policy
The short version: no ads, no tracking, no account. Everything the game remembers stays on your phone, and we don’t sell or share anything about you.
Who we are
Mofflets is made by Ianna Stechman and published by Roberto Ercole. “We” and “us” on this page mean the people who make Mofflets.
Roberto Ercole is responsible for Mofflets and for how it handles personal information, and is our privacy contact. You can reach him at support@mofflets.com.
What the game remembers
- Your Mofflet, its home and everything it has learned
- The nickname you typed and the answers you gave the egg
- The mood faces you pick when your pet asks how you are
- Your hand colour and your settings
Use a nickname rather than your full name. The game never asks for your email, birthday, address or phone number.
Where it’s kept
Only on this phone. Mofflets doesn’t connect to the internet, so nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. We never see your Mofflet, your nickname or your answers.
Deleting the app deletes everything, including your Mofflet. That is also how you delete your data: there is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing for us to delete. If you have a question about your data, write to us and we’ll answer.
Your voice
The microphone only turns on when you sing, teach a word or say a command, and only if you said yes. Tapping always works instead.
Your voice is listened to live and never recorded or saved.
“Say it” can use Apple’s speech recognition to understand the word, which may happen on Apple’s servers under Apple’s privacy policy. The game only gets the word and forgets it right away.
Photos
Photo mode draws your pet. It never uses the camera. A photo only leaves the game if you tap Share.
Reminders (optional)
Mofflets can send you little notes from your Mofflet, like a letter that has arrived or a big day coming up. They are off until you say yes: the game asks once, after your Mofflet’s first meal, and only then does your iPhone ask for permission.
The notes are made and scheduled on your phone, from what the game already remembers there. They are never sent to us, because there is no server to send them from, and we never use them for ads or promotions.
You can turn them off at any time in the game (Settings → Reminders) or in your iPhone’s Settings → Notifications → Mofflets. In the game you can also choose which kinds of notes you get, set quiet hours and ask for fewer. Turning them off, or saying no, changes nothing else in the game.
No ads, no tracking
There are no ads, no analytics and no other companies’ code watching how you play. Mofflets has no account or sign-in, uses no advertising identifier and doesn’t track you across other apps or websites. On the App Store, Mofflets is labelled “Data Not Collected”.
If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may show us anonymous crash reports and usage totals. Apple collects these under its own privacy policy, not the game, and they don’t identify you or your Mofflet. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children and families
Mofflets is made to be safe for children to play and for families to enjoy together.
We do not collect anything from children. Because nothing leaves the phone, the game doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising.
Parents and guardians are welcome to write to us with any question at support@mofflets.com.
If this ever changes (for example an account or syncing between devices), this page will say so first.
This website
mofflets.com has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. As with every website, the company that hosts it (Cloudflare) handles the technical details your browser sends so the page can load, such as your internet address. Cloudflare may keep these for a short time in its security logs, under its own privacy policy. We don’t receive them, keep them or use them to identify you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
